WHY MATH MATTERS - The foundation, rock, guiding principle and my personal philosophy of Mathematics Instruction is the following: "Mathematics has no greater purpose than that of telling stories about the past, present and future." Simply put, the purpose of mathematics is to tell stories. Mathematics is arguably the most detailed and exquisite way of telling stories ever conceived by the human mind.
Unless and until one realizes that the purpose of mathematics is to tell stories, mathematics can neither be understood nor enjoyed!

Hi Everyone,
As we begin this strange period of school closure, I am reaching out to all my students to help assure you all have every opportunity to continue your progress toward academic success, most especially in mathematics, but any other subject in which you might need support and guidance.
I will be available through Google Classroom, as well as email and text (SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE) throughout the entire time school remains closed!
As you know, despite school closure, time does not stop and gifted students like you need to continually look toward the future and prepare: especially MCAS, SAT AND COLLEGE ENTRANCE TESTS IN MATH. Below are some recommendations I believe will help you toward that end, and also help relieve boredom and restlessness during this time of uncertainty:
1. Keep in mind that without in person classroom meetings with students, our tools are limited to online tools such as Google Classroom, IXL and Khan Academy, all of which I can use to track your progress and help you excel.

2. Continue working as often as possible on Khan Academy or IXL; WITH THE GOAL OF AT LEAST TWO HOURS A DAY AT LEAST 5 DAYS PER WEEK.

3. DON’T FORGET TO SIGN IN TO KHAN SO I CAN TRACK YOUR PROGRESS AND GIVE YOU GRADES!!!

4. Communicate with me by email or text (PHONE AND EMAIL ADDRESS BELOW) on work assignments and questions.
